Baab-e-Wazirabad
An Overview
The construction of Baab-e-Wazirabad is a brainchild of Commissioner of Gujranwala Division Mr. Shumayal Ahmed Khawaja, in an effort to revive cultural heritage of historical cities of Gujranwala Division. This structure which was inaugurated on 24th February 2015 by Commissioner of Gujranwala, depicts in its construction the true culture of our region.
Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed Cheema (MNA) and Mr. Shaukat Manzoor Cheema (MPA) showed their exceptional interest and support in the fulfillment of this dream project.
Among the other personalities who took special interest to create this wonderful structure are
- Mr. Azmat Mahmood – DCO Gujranwala
- Mr. Zaheer Ahmed Sandal – Construction Expert
- Mr. Rana Basharat Javed – Town Officer, I&S
- Mr. Haji Abdul Rauf Mughal – Chairman Evergreen Citizen Community Board
- Mr. Mohammad Ayoub – Ma’maar
The construction of Baab-e-Wazirabad project would never have been accomplished without the special interest and efforts made by Rao Sohail Akhtar former Assistant Commissioner of Wazirabad.
